Top-notch from the top two

The Swiss and the Spaniard at their respective perfects. While Nadal savagely romped the fave candy-boy of Britons, Federer put up one of his best wins against the Croat who is the last guy to have outwitted him on grass in 2002.
Some confounding stats (seriously, don’t the other opponents get an inferiority complex from these guys!)-
Roger:
1st serve % = 69%
1st serve pts = 88%
2nd serve pts = 82%
Rcvg pts = 39%
Bk Pt conv = 40%
Net approaches = 77%
Rafa:
1st serve % = 62%
1st serve pts = 88%
2nd serve pts = 80%
Rcvg pts = 46%
Bk Pt conv = 40%
Net approaches = 85%

They are laying the stage for a thunderstorm at the Sunday final which is now merely a match away for these Gentlemen. The closer they inch, the hungrier they look. If Safin doesn’t make my jaws drop in the semis on Friday, Federer looks through to taking his vengeance against the man who is responsible for the vacant ‘Australian Open 2005′ trophy slot in his drawing room.

I am sad to be missing the finals but I hope that….
I just hope :)
