Few days back, there was news about Australian celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's offensive sexist remarks and the Australin PM Kevin Rudd had publicly denounced him.
And today, it has been Palin Vs Letterman. I am no advocator of Palin's political standing and the election jokes were all very fine. But I can't help agreeing with Palin's retort to Letterman's sick jokes on her 14 yr old daughter. American humor and tolerance for media power is in some ways commendable; I laud at the way American society likes to take a kick at itself but such incidences do point at a rotten core when it comes to sexist banters. Sometimes, it is too transparent in a male dominant society that they do not think a penny of their female counterparts.
Who is to draw a line between humor and abuse?
