Happy Women’s Day

First Female Director to win Oscar (mirror.co.uk)

Kathryn Bigelow(Lawrence K. Ho / Los Angeles Times)

Glad to see the highest recognition going to a Woman (although I have not seen the movie and can’t comment on the validity but am glad it wasn’t Avatar).

Let me also mention Janet Robinson, CEO of NYTimes, who is trying to steer NYTimes in the most challenging times in history and seems to be doing a good job so far.

A day out in NYC

First of all, Yelp is awesome! I showed interest in this event in NYC and I got emails when anyone posted a conversation bit. Steve Job’s videos

Waiting. Anticipating. Preparing for what Apple is going to come up with.

And also missing Steve Jobs. The charismatic Mr. Jobs, the Idol, the one man army, the iconic CEO and the best technology think tank in this world. I am absolutely awed by everything he does and people like him make me proud to be a part of technology fraternity.

As far as I know he isn’t going to present on the Jan 27th Apple media event. But here’s some of his signature keynote speeches:

The sexy launch of iPod nano (1st 2 mins of the video)-

And this is the iPhone launch-

And for those who can’t get enough of him, here’s an extensive list.

CORRECTION: Steve Jobs is going to present tomorrow, he had backed out from Feb Macworld Expo. Looking forward to some real magic :)
