Wimbledon and Federer Jacket are the most common search terms hitting my blog these days, no wonder why. I think Nike’s Men’s Fashion sense is going downhill year after year. What’s with those gaudy gold bags and belts! Taking a pick for the graceful and sporty look, I think Sharapova has it this year. Yet to see Venus Williams though, I like her professional approach and elegance on court.
Anyways, my freelancing has kicked off finally and I am enjoying publishing for My Tennis Fashion, a Richard Henry’s project. My first full-fledged article went out today and I shall be doing a bit of Wimbledon coverage for the site.
Seeded 2 but the current favorite after Nadal withdrew, Federer heralded an era of fashion and panache into Gentlemen’s game at the Wimbledon. Nike has given him a ‘Military General’ look this year in their trademark white and gold combination, and a golden trophy with 5 inscribed in the shoes (really!!). No matter what, the guy is most talked about when it comes to Wimbledon and though many might not find the gaudy ensemble to their taste, who cares. I think the least likeable part of his look this year is the golden belt on his shorts, I hope I don’t get to see that anymore often!

I always had a ‘thing’ for watches. Found an interesting page on web for the watch lovers. Of course, very few have the kind of money to get those pricey ‘high-class’ watches, but well if you ever plan to invest into one of those, you might want to compare those elusive brands. Here it goes-
High-End Luxury -
- A Lange and Sohne, Alain Silberstein, Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Franck Muller, JLC, Parmigiani, Patek Phillipe, Ulysse Nardin, Vacheron Constantin, IWC
- forget it, cant afford unless you are a Wall St CEO, wait, those days are gone too.
Luxury -
- Breitling, Cartier, Ebel, Omega, Rolex
- What the hell, Roger Federer advertises for ‘just a luxury’ item!
- Hm, can try on your wedding or something worth celebrating.
Pseudo Luxury -
- Baume & Mercier, Raymond Weil, Tag Heuer
- Hmm, Tag is lower than Rolex…interesting. Oh of course, they get endorsements from SRK
Basic Luxury -
- Epos, Fortis, Movado, Oris
- Ah, now we are talking. Amazon has a good discounted collection! Wait, what about Bulova and Tissot?
Anyways, I found that little comparison chart very interesting. It remains debatable how much is it worth spending on a thing such as watch but thats what a whim is about.
And heres a list of Best 50 Watches, its just a perspective. I hadn’t seen or known any of these previously.

Neat pics and these designers are undoubtedly talented. I love this one and this one. Funny, they sometimes make even a sari unwearable.
