Finally I found a good theme to base my design upon – Elegant Grunge by Michael Tyson.

A self designed theme for this blog was long due and its coming up finally. For now, I’ve just modified the theme I was using (Desktop Mess) since working on child themes wasn’t producing quick results and I was getting impatient. I will be working up this design gradually and continue to work on child theme concept. This all is just a step towards more detailed and enigmatic wordpress experience and a door to more web-designing.
I am sure many parts in the current theme will break here and there. Please bear with me while I finalize the changes. A more interesting blog on this theme design-process is also due. Sometime soon I hope.

As I slowly explore the power of wordpress, I understand what other blogger services are so badly missing. Wordpress gives you powerful plugins and its upto you what to use. The sheer variety of themes and plugins is mindblowing, its a matter of picking up the right stuff. Blogging was never more fun.
